Description:
This course will introduce students to an appreciation of the visual arts through an intercultural, social/historical approach. The course will also emphasize the nature of the creative process, integrating a study of the conceptual principles, with methods and materials which influence artistic critical thinking, problem solving, exploration, and discovery.
Course Requirements:
Orientation: No Campus Visits: No Software/Resources: Yes Must submit papers/assignments in Word or know how to save in .rtf format. May need Adobe or Java to access some websites - there are free viewer downloads available.
This section is not a self-paced class. There are weekly deadlines that students must meet for posting responses/comments to discussions and online quizzes. The time commitment for this online course is comparable to an on-campus class.
Class requirements include textbook readings, viewing websites, discussion boards, mid-term and final paper, and online quizzes.
