Description:

An introduction to basic accounting procedures in recording business transactions in journals and their periodic summary in ledgers for the purpose of preparing Financial Statements for simple business organizations.

Course Requirements:

Orientation: No
Campus Visits: Yes
The student must attend campus to take 4 tests and the final exam.

Software/Resources: Yes
Microsoft Excel is required. Microsoft Word and Power would also be useful, but not required.

  • can discipline yourself to study independently
  • have several hours on a weekly basis to read the text and research course assignments
  • can work without regular classroom contact with your instructor
  • cannot attend a regularly scheduled class
